Curriculum

By consolidating from over a hundred detailed industry business processes and case studies we have formulated the sense-response framework of service layers and curriculum content for the advanced (senior and graduate) student. The curriculum framework is covered, keeping in mind the need for 1) end-to-end methodologies that address the service life cycle, 2) incorporating industry project artifacts into curriculum, 3) a Laboratory Reference Architecture for using emerging technologies, 4) roles and responsibilities, and 5) assessment methodology incorporating industry feedback.

Enterprise Architectures & Services Curriculum

The curriculum options include 1) Software Engineering courses that cover the creational (e.g. RUP, Agile), operational (e.g. ITIL), and management aspects of complex systems, and 2) an entrepreneurship minor.

NEWPATH Program for Entrepreneurship

Highly motivated and talented students from among those currently majoring in or having expressed interest in the Computer Science and Engineering, Computer and Information Science, or Electrical and Computer Engineering degree programs are recruited into the NEWPATH program. Each NEWPATH student also completes an existing Interdisciplinary Minor in Entrepreneurship.
