Keynote on Directions in Mobile Computing for the Enterprise By Bruce Lee, Sprint's Director of Industry Solutions

We are entering a new computing cycle with the mobile web. Many mobile platforms have been available for developers to create the first round of mobile applications. We are entering a far more open, and far more explosive growth phase of mobile application development. He also notes that the mobile carriers are turbo charging this growth by building new 4G networks and opening up a framework of tools and partners poised to leverage GPS, messaging, payment, and device management capabilities. Lee will provide insights on the state of the industry related to mobile app development and explains where have we been, where are we now, and where are we headed. The apps explosion and increasing user demand for bandwidth also brings on new challenges for enterprises. Bandwidth usage and demand is up, but how will carriers deal with capacity and spectrum limitations?

Speaker: Bruce Lee is responsible for the evaluation of potential technologies and solutions for Sprint Nextel. Based in Reston, VA, Bruce has been instrumental in shaping the Solutions and Partnering Strategy for Sprint Industry Solutions team. Prior to Sprint-Nextel, he worked in various Product Management and Development roles, supporting wireless solutions on both terrestrial and satellite networks. Bruce is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University." (Please don't hold that against him.)
