    Keynote:

Peter Leyden :  Peter Leyden is a famous author and speaker on new technologies and future trends. Leyden was managing editor at the original Wired Magazine, and worked at Global Business Network, the pioneering think tank on the future. He was founding director of the New Politics Institute helping reinvent politics on the Internet. Leyden currently is founder and CEO of Reinventors, a network of innovators using the new medium of group video for a series of conversations about how to reinvent America. Leyden started his career as a journalist, including as a special correspondent for Newsweek magazine in Asia. He has coauthored two books on the future: The Long Boom and What’s Next.

Title: "The Coming Reinvention of America: How big data and other tech trends will drive the transformation of America and the world"

America is on the verge of a fundamental reinvention that will get all 20th century systems to work in the all-digital, fully-global, more sustainable 21st century world. To make this massive transition, it's going to take an incredible mobilization of human resources and application of new technologies - plus some visionary public policy like we have seen in a handful of other periods when America reinvented itself. One of many big technology trends to be harnessed will be big data. This talk puts what's going on in the big data world in the larger context of other tech developments, and then how that all that fits into the reinvention of the country and ultimately the transformation of the world in the decades to come.
