The CETI Industry Day and Project Showcase will be held on Thursday June 10th 2010 from 10:30 am - 2 pm  in Scott Laboratories Room E100. This event is intended to present industry-university collaborations at the CETI Industry-University Collaborative Research Program, with a view to growing these critical collaborations between the computing-related industry and The Ohio State University.

The program will include an Industry panel on "IT Innovations for a Service Oriented Economy". Panelists are Dr. Dinesh Dhamija, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President, TDCI, Mr. Moez Chaabouni, Deputy CIO, City of Columbus, Vijay Gopal, CTO for Shared Applications, Nationwide Insurance.

Brief research talks will highlight key CETI research. Finally, 30 research and Senior Capstone projects will be presented via posters where companies may view these projects and interact with our highly-qualified and sought-after students.

Scott Laboratory is Building 148 and is located at 201 W. 19th Ave, Columbus Ohio 43210 The nearest parking is the Tuttle Park Place garage (building 088) by the stadium.

Abstract: Services are special, because of their unique characteristics of immediacy, high potential variability and variable cost, high touch requirement etc. Services organizations are being challenged to deliver non-routine services profitably, in a manner that gives them a sustainable competitive advantage. This panel will showcase and lead a discussion on innovative ways IT can deliver competitive advantage to service-based organizations and create economic value within the community.
